Bernhard Jenny is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Cartography at ETH Zurich. His CV could be mistaken for a mid-stream tenure-track professor, with several publications in international journals and an established reputation as an innovative researcher. He has created software for a wide range of cartographic applications, from projection creation for the layperson, to thematic flow mapping, to visualization for the color-impaired. He also maintains cartography-oriented web sites and has made his software freely available.
