Kristina H. Yamamoto holds a BS in Natural Resource Management from University of California Berkeley and an MS in GIS from the University of Denver. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Denver in the geography department, with her dissertation topic covering sea turtle nesting beach characteristics in southern Florida. She also currently works at the U.S. Geological Survey as a student Geographer conducting remote sensing research, including soil moisture and LiDAR projects.
