CaGIS Past President Kari Craun receives Gannett Award

Kari Craun, a Past President of CaGIS, has been selected as the first recipient of the Henry Gannett internal award to recognize outstanding contributions to the geospatial community by a USGS employee. Kari is Director of the USGS National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC) and was selected for her extraordinary leadership and advancement of topographic services. USNC funding opportunities for ICC2017

The U.S. National Committee (USNC) to the International Cartographic Association (ICA) is pleased to announce the availability of travel funding to attend the 28th International Cartographic Conference (ICC) in Washington, DC, July 2-7, 2017. The deadline for applications is October 26. More information can be found here

USNC Meeting at AutoCarto

The USNC will be meeting during AutoCarto 2016 which is being held in Albuquerque, NM, from September 14-16, 2016. The USNC meeting on Thursday, September 15th, will take place from 5:00-6:00 PM and is open to the public. Details about ICC 2017 and the related travel funding will be presented. Check the AutoCarto website for updates on the meeting location.
