What is CaGIS?

CaGIS is a professional society that serves cartographers, GIS professionals, and GIScience researchers and educators. Its organization and activities are designed to meet the needs of all of our members.

CaGIS has a Board comprised of president, president-elect, vice president, and past president, each of whom serves two years. The Board's directors, three at any given time, serve terms of four years. The society is represented on the ACSM Congress by two delegates and an alternate.

In any year, CaGIS seats two delegates in the ACSM Congress. The past president serves as an alternate, ensuring that the society is always represented.
