Guidelines for Literature Review Editor: Cartography and Geographic Information Science, 2006

 

Purpose

The Literature Review Editor surveys the current cartography and GIScience professional literature to find items likely to be of interest to the CaGIS membership

Focus

  • Articles of interest are compiled by categories and listed as bibliographic references

  • Common categories include, but are not limited to: Atlases, Cartographic Animation, Cartographic Visualization, Cognitive Cartography, GIS, GIS Education, History of Cartography, Journalistic Cartography, Map Design, Map Perception, Map Use, Remote Sensing, Theoretical Cartography, Projections, Generalization, etc.
  • Both journal articles and books, English and non-English, may be included; some journals that should be of interest include: Cartographica, Cartographic Perspectives, Transactions in GIS, The Cartographic Journal, Cartographica Helvectica, Journal of Geography, Professional Geographer, Computers and Geoscience, Computers, Environment and Urban Systems, GeoInformatica, International Journal of Geographic Information Science, Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
