PAPERS to be presented in regular paper session format at AutoCarto 2008 must be accompanied by an ABSTRACT. Your abstract should be in PDF or Word format, of a maximum of 800 words, and is due by e-mail to autocarto2008@geog.ucsb.edu by the end of the day on May 1^st, 2008. Acceptances will be e-mailed by May 1^st, 2008.

After review by the scientific committee, final papers will be invited. Final papers of approximately 12 pages for the proceedings (to be distributed on the CaGIS AutoCarto website and the conference CD) are due by September  1st, 2008. Instructions for formatting and an ftp site for the final papers will be announced later. A subset of the papers will be invited by the scientific committee for peer review and possible publication in a special issue of the Cartography and Geographic Information Science journal in the spring of 2009.
